WPLUG Governance
WPLUG operates as a collective. Our governance is designed to ensure that the group remains representative of its members while maintaining the decisive leadership necessary to execute a vision.
The Core Logic
Leadership Election: The collective elects leadership to fill roles as they are needed or created. These elections are conducted via popular vote of the membership.
The Chairperson: Leadership elects a Chairperson from among their own ranks. Upon election, the Chairperson vacates their previous role to assume this position.
Decision Making:
- The Chairperson has the final say on all proposals.
- The Check: The Chairperson's decision can be overruled by a 3/5ths majority of the Leadership body.
Accountability:
- Leadership is accountable to the membership. A leader may be removed from their seat if 5/7ths (or a higher specified threshold) of the members vote for their vacancy.

— Knowledge should be shared. No gatekeeping. Keep it FOSS.
