WPLUG Leadership Roles

These are the roles required to operate WPLUG as a Pennsylvania nonprofit and as a functioning collective.

All officers are directors. The President is also the Chairperson.


Legally Required

President / Chairperson

What PA requires: The chief executive officer of the corporation. Presides over meetings. Signs contracts and legal documents.

What WPLUG needs: Executive authority when speed matters. Final say on proposals. The buck stops here.

Secretary

What PA requires: Maintains corporate records, minutes, official correspondence.

What WPLUG needs: Someone who documents what happened and keeps the archive honest.

Treasurer

What PA requires: Manages corporate funds, financial records, reports.

What WPLUG needs: Track domain costs, handle potential donations, be ready for 501©(3).

Infrastructure Lead

Keeps the lights on—IRC, wiki, DNS, backups.

Welcome wagon, event wrangler, conflict resolution.
